If you plan on living near Fort Rucker in Alabama, plan on getting used to army planes flying around most days. Serving as the Army's Aviation Center of Excellence Fort Rucker is full of military personnel and their families. This area has become such hot spot that it is referred to as "Mother Rucker" in deference to the birth of an Army Aviator's career and his or her constant return to the post for continued training and responsibility throughout his/her career. It is common knowledge in an Army Aviation career, that "Everyone returns to Mother Rucker," because of the frequency of pilot training, and re-education.
