Fort Knox and Fort Campbell call Kentucky home. There will be about an even loss/gain of personnel with BRAC realignments for Fort Knox this year to keep its occupancy up to roughly 23,000 troops. With its size Fort Knox operates 8 schools on post. These include 4 elementary schools, 2 intermediate schools, a middle school and a high school.

Located on the Kentucky-Tennessee border, Fort Campbell is home to over 30,000 active duty military members. It also just 60 miles Northwest of Knoxville and the University of Tennessee. Just a 24 minute commute from Clarksville there are five elementary schools, two middle schools and one high school on post.
